Teresa Steininger

I am a PhD Candidate in Economics at NYU and on the job market this year (2023/2024).

I am a labor economist with a focus on gender disparities in labor market outcomes. My research uses general equilibrium models backed by empirical analysis to better understand the determinants of these disparities and potential solutions.

In my Job Market Paper, I develop a structural model to explore the sources of child penalties and the effect of a parental leave policy.
